Kara and her husband, Joe ’97, live in College Station with their two children, Austin (future member of the class of ‘26) and Kayla (future member of the class of ’29).

Kara pledged Delta Zeta in the fall of 1996 and has been an active member and alumna ever since. After graduating from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in Management in December of 1999, Kara attended Baylor Law School, graduating with her Juris Doctorate in May of 2002. After moving back to College Station, Kara became an active advisor with the Delta Zeta chapter at Texas A&M and has served as the Collegiate Chapter Director since 2004, overseeing the daily operations of the chapter. In 2012, Kara was named Sorority Advisor of the Year at the Aggie Greek Awards Banquet.

With a passion for justice, Kara has served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office since September of 2003. She teaches volunteer trainings for the Sexual Assault Resource Center and has spoken at victim conferences, as well as serving as a mentor for new prosecutors.

Volunteer work is a focus of Kara’s life. In addition to her work with the Delta Zeta chapter, she is also a member of the Junior League of Bryan College Station and serves as a youth cheerleading coach. In addition to attending Aggie Football, Basketball and Baseball games, Kara and her family serve as a host family for the Brazos Valley Bombers, a member of the Texas Collegiate Baseball League.

Kara has served on the Greek Former Students Network Board of Directors since 2013 and has served as Secretary since January 2015.
